What a beautiful October day and I feel great. There just is nothing like having a beautiful day and having the ability to enjoy it. A couple of months ago I was starting to feel my years creeping up on me. My energy levels were falling and I just was not sure that I would be able to continue working very much longer. Hospital work can be very draining and my position keeps me busy for some very long hours.
A little over a month ago things started to change for the better. Now I have all the good natural energy I need to get through the day and when bedtime comes I sleep like a baby. What a difference.
Well, like I said. It is a beautiful day and I am going to get out and enjoy it. Hope that you can too.
For the past couple of years there has been increased study on the nutrient Resveratrol which is found in the skins of certain red grapes, wine, in peanuts, blueberries, some pines and in significant amounts in the dried roots and stalks of Polygonum Cuspidatum which is known as Japanese Knotweed. To date there are 2446 studies listed on PubMed.gov alone. The studies have dramatic implications for the potential improved health of millions of people.
When Dr. Sinclair went on the 60 minutes show with Barbara Walters to give a summary of His studies it created quite a stir. Since then Resveratrol products seem to be coming out of the woodwork. They are everywhere. If my sources are correct then the concentration that Dr. Sinclair developed has been sold to the pharmaceutical company Glaxo-Smith-Cline to be further developed and tested in human clinical trials. This can take 5 years or more before it is available as a drug.
I personally am taking a formulation that includes Quercetin, Grape Seed Extract, and Scutellaria Lateriflora in addition to 400mg Polygonum Cuspidatum (Resveratrol). Most formulas do not contain these added ingredients and without them the Resveratrol is metabolized in the body quickly. With the formulation of the product that I take two capsules daily (spaced out one cap twice daily) gives me extra energy when I need it, the ability to lay down and sleep like a baby when I need to and a major reduction in food cravings. I am a happy camper.
Is this a miracle? Could be… time will tell
For years our Mothers and Grandmothers have been telling us to eat our fruits and veggies. Every day Science is uncovering new ways to use simple things from nature to prevent or treat things we dread most in our society…things like Cancer, Heart Disease, Diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Until there is a cure let us go back to what our grandmother’s have taught us. They may have been right after all.
